RIDERS RUMBLE THROUGH THE WOODS FOR MDA

TOMAHAWK, Wis., — The Muscular Dystrophy Association kicks off the Tomahawk Fall Ride with the 2nd Annual Rumble Through The Woods Friday, September 16.This year, the Muscular Dystrophy Association will host a scenic, 60-mile ride across the Northwoods, stopping in Merrill before returning to SARA Park in Tomahawk. “The Rumble Through the Woods showcases the dedicated motorcycle enthusiasts that are involved in the fight against neuromuscular diseases.” Krystal Westfahl, Ride Coordinator, said. “We’re excited to see last year’s participants along with new ones as well!” Festivities begin Thursday, September 15 with registration at SARA Park from 4-7 p.m. followed by Bad Boy live in concert at the Ice Arena. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door.The Rumble Through the Woods departs from SARA Park at 11 a.m. sharp Friday, September 16. There will be a midway stop at Dat Bar in Merrill, where riders can enjoy music, awards, food and door prizes before returning to SARA Park.Registration is $30 per rider Thursday, 4-7 p.m., and Friday, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.. All proceeds benefit local MDA clients.Riders can also waive the registration fee and earn great prizes if they become “Pledge Riders.” Riders who raise over $100 receive a Rumble Through the Woods T-shirt and pin. For every $100 raised, riders will be entered into a raffle for the 2011 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic Custom or 2012 Daytona Bike Week getaway. Pledge Riders who raise over $1000 will receive a $100 VISA Gift Card in addition to the previous prizes and the top overall Pledge Rider will receive a Harley-Davidson Gift Card for any Harley-Davidson Dealership.Participants can sign up to become a pledge rider at http://www.joinmda.org/rumble2011.
